Related Group and Alta Developers have delivered Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard, bringing the 56-story condominium tower in Downtown Miami’s Arts and Cultural District to market as closings begin. The project marks the first residential building to be conceived in partnership with the Italian furniture and design house B&B Italia.
The tower rises about 650 feet and is now one of the taller residential addresses in the downtown core. Developers said more than 90% of the homes were already under contract when the building was delivered, underscoring the continued appetite for high-end condominium inventory in Miami’s urban center.
Casa Bella’s completion also adds another completed residential tower to a corridor that has seen steady residential and institutional growth over the past decade, from the expansion of Miami Worldcenter to additional transit, cultural and hospitality investment around Biscayne Boulevard.

First completed residential tower for B&B Italia
Casa Bella is the first time B&B Italia has translated its design brand into a full residential tower. The project is styled by Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni, whose firm, Lissoni New York, curated the interiors and amenity spaces. Related Group said the idea was to extend the company’s furniture and design language into a live-in environment rather than a showroom-like setting.
Lissoni worked with Arquitectonica on the building’s architecture and with Enzo Enea on the landscape plan. The result is a tower strategy centered on clean lines, restrained finishes and a European-influenced interior palette, with B&B Italia furnishings integrated throughout common areas and amenities.
For Related Group, the delivery adds another branded condominium to a portfolio that has increasingly leaned on design and lifestyle partnerships to differentiate product in Miami’s competitive luxury market. For Alta Developers, it lands a long-planned project in a neighborhood the firm has targeted for years.
Homes, penthouses and upper-floor collections
Casa Bella includes a mix of residences with design-forward finishes and private-entry features. According to the developer, homes include two private elevators, a private vestibule with biometric access control, soaring ceilings and layouts designed to maximize bay and skyline views.
The residences also feature ITALKRAFT cabinetry and appliances by Sub-Zero and Wolf, along with countertops and fixtures selected under Lissoni’s direction. According to project disclosures and prior coverage of the tower, the building’s higher-floor inventory includes the Cielo Collection and a limited Penthouse Collection.
The Cielo Collection occupies floors 48 through 51 and includes 16 residences. The Penthouse Collection includes 10 homes across several floor plans, with finishes and furnishings tailored to the project’s Italian design concept. Some of the corner residences were planned with private rooftop terraces, spa pools and outdoor kitchen space.
Amentities spread across two floors and a sky terrace
Casa Bella was designed with amenity space that spans two full levels, along with a rooftop terrace nearly 650 feet above street level. The amenity package includes a 360 Wellness Center with a fitness area overlooking Biscayne Bay, yoga studios, a spa and beauty salon, plus a private theater, wine cellar, game room, children’s playroom and coworking lounge.
Outside, the project includes landscaped gardens, an 80-foot lap pool with cabanas, a poolside bar and Mediterranean café, a yoga lawn, pickleball court and private dining areas. At the top of the tower, the 56th-floor Sky Pool Terrace includes a second pool, rooftop lounge and observatory space.
The mix reflects a broader pattern in South Florida condominium development, where developers continue to package lifestyle amenities with branded interiors and hospitality-style programming in order to appeal to full-time residents and second-home buyers alike.
How the project reached delivery
Casa Bella broke ground in November 2023 after Related Group and Alta Developers closed on $240 million in construction financing from Cain International. Coastal Construction served as general contractor. Earlier project milestones included a topping-off ceremony in July 2025, when the tower reached full height and moved into the latter stages of construction.
Before delivery, the project had already built significant sales momentum. Prior reporting on the tower showed that contract activity had accelerated well before completion, including a record-priced penthouse contract in the project’s early sales phase and rising demand for the upper-floor collections. By the time the building was completed, the developers said more than 90% of the residences were under contract.
That level of pre-delivery absorption is notable in a market where buyers remain selective and competition among new luxury condominiums remains intense. It also suggests that branded residences, especially those tied to recognizable design names, continue to command attention in Miami’s higher end of the market.
Why Downtown Miami matters to the project
Casa Bella is arriving in a part of Downtown Miami that has transformed substantially over the last decade. The area now includes a heavier residential population, stronger transit connections and expanding cultural infrastructure, with destinations such as the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Kaseya Center and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts all nearby.
According to the Miami Downtown Development Authority’s 2025 demographics report cited by PROFILEmiami, more than 101,000 people now live in Downtown Miami, a figure that represents a sharp increase since 2012. The district has been reshaped by new development, public art, office-to-residential growth and transportation investment, including the expansion of Brightline’s role in the urban core.
For South Florida’s condo market, that matters because Downtown Miami is no longer just an office district with a handful of residential towers. It has become a dense mixed-use neighborhood in which new projects must compete on architecture, branding, amenities and location as much as on views or square footage.
Additional background on the project’s earlier milestones can be found in PROFILEmiami’s topping-off coverage and in its financing report from late 2023.
What comes next
With delivery complete, the remaining work centers on closings and resident move-ins. The project’s sales team, Fortune Development Sales, is handling the final inventory, which is concentrated in the remaining homes and higher-floor collections.
Casa Bella’s opening gives Related Group and Alta Developers a completed branded tower in one of Miami’s most active urban corridors, while adding another luxury residential option to a neighborhood where new supply has steadily expanded. For buyers, the project offers a finished product rather than a preconstruction pitch; for Downtown Miami, it adds another residential anchor to a district that continues to evolve around culture, transit and high-rise living.
