Waterfront high-rises, Aventura Mall and resort-style living halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Aventura is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, set along the Intracoastal Waterway about halfway between downtown Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Incorporated in 1995, Aventura grew from developer Don Soffer’s original master plan, anchored by the resort and golf community now known as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. Today the city is known for waterfront high-rise condominiums, gated communities, well-kept parks and some of the best shopping in South Florida, which makes it a favorite of families, seasonal residents and international buyers.
Daily life is easy here. Aventura Mall sits at the heart of the city, the beaches of Sunny Isles and Hallandale are minutes away, and the nearby Brightline Aventura station links residents to Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando by rail. Most homes are condos along the water and Country Club Drive, with townhomes and a smaller number of single-family houses mixed in.
